DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 20 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has issued a condemnation of an armed incident that occurred on the evening of September 19.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Information and Publicity, armed cadres from the GPRN/NSCN (Khehoi Camp) threatened Colonel Hokivi at his residence, led by Lieutenant Colonel Bokaho, the group’s second-in-command.
The situation escalated quickly, but the timely intervention of village councils and Gaon Burahs (GBs) prevented further violence, it stated. The GPRN/NSCN emphasized its commitment to peace and harmony, stating that such actions are unacceptable in a society that values tranquility.
"This kind of situation is highly condemnable and has no place in our peace-loving society," the statement read.
