Include stranded Muslim students in relief efforts, MCD appeals to NSF

Dimapur, May 15 (MExN): The Muslim Council Dimapur (MCD) on May 15 acknowledged the efforts of the NSF and its units in ensuring the welfare of the student community and sought inclusion of stranded Muslim students from Nagaland in their relief efforts.

In a press release today, MCD Working President Ahidur Rahman stated that 25 students from the community are stranded in different cities across the country and called on the Naga Students’ Federation to assist the students wherever possible and give them “a sense of care and belongingness.”

Further, the MCD extended its solidarity stating that it would “pray for the NSF and the whole student community for the pain and difficulties faced at such a young age,” as the community observes the holy month of Ramzan.
