Indian Army hosts recruitment outreach in Dimapur

KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 23 (MExN): The Indian Army conducted a recruitment outreach program in Dimapur, Nagaland, on Sunday as part of its efforts to promote the Agniveer recruitment under the Agnipath scheme. Organized by the Army Recruiting Office, Rangapahar, in collaboration with the Lotha Baptist Church, the event drew over 80 aspiring candidates, their parents, and ex-servicemen.

The sessions provided detailed yet simplified information about the Agnipath scheme, outlining its benefits, available opportunities, and addressing participants’ queries. Attendees also received guidance on officer entry schemes, including the National Defence Academy (NDA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Military Nursing Services (MNS), and Territorial Army (TA). The selection process for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews was also explained.

Participants were briefed on eligibility criteria, application procedures, and the selection process for various recruitment avenues. Additionally, organizers highlighted the structure of the Army and its various arms and services.

Handouts, posters, and pamphlets were distributed, with ex-servicemen tasked with further sharing the materials with youth in their respective communities.

The outreach program is part of the Army’s broader initiative to engage with potential recruits and raise awareness about career opportunities within the armed forces.
