Khulazu Basa Baptist Church youth during the celebration of ‘youth day’ on July 9 and 10.
Kohima, July 11 (MExN): The Christian Youth Endeavour (CYE) of Khulazu Basa Baptist Church organised its 72nd session and 5th combined youth day under the theme ‘Rooted in Christ’s Love’ on July 9 and 10.
According to a press release on Monday, around 177 youth attended the programme and participated in various competitions like solo, quartet, bible quiz, and extempore speech. CYE Director Nuvotalu Rhakho informed that there are about 450 registered youth in total in the village. Of the total youth, half of them reside in the village and another half reside out of the village, she informed.
The speakers and topics for the session included Medovolu Keyho, Sunday School Superintendent, CMCC Pfutsero who spoke on ‘spiritual blessings’; Zulhoupeu K Kezo, PhD (C) Intercultural Studies, ACTS, South Korea gave a sermon on the theme; and Kehuve Chuzho, pastor Khulazu Basa Baptist Church spoke about ‘walk worthy’. Meanwhile, the quiz master for the event was Vevolu Keyho, the release stated.
New sector representatives of Kohima, Dimapur, Chetheba, Pfutsero, Phek, Khuza, Mesoba, Mekhroba and Pswoza were selected along with the finance committee of the KBBC’s CYE 75th anniversary to be held in 2025. While the session is held annually, the combined youth day is held once every three years.
