Kiphire, July 25 (MExN): A new Sub-Centre at Tutheze village under Kiphire sadar block in Kiphire district was inaugurated by Dr K Pewezo Khalo, DPO (RCH/UIP) from Chief Medical Officer’s Office, Kiphire on July 25.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Dr K Pewezo Khalo said that with the inauguration, the medical department will look into the requirements of the health centre and provide facilities for the smooth functioning of the unit.
Dr Khalo spoke about the importance of having a health centre in the village and urged the village leaders and public to utilise the facilities to the optimum. He asked the villagers to take full ownership of the health unit and look after the centre as their private property so as to progress further.
Besides, he stressed about the importance of community participation during health programmes and activities carried out by the department. Further, he mentioned the importance of community contribution, wherein, he said that in order for the centre to move ahead and avail better facilities it depends on community contribution and performance of the health centre.
