Dimapur, July 30 (MExN): The Joint Action Committee (JAC) on the May 27 Incident has questioned the NSCN/GPRN on the outfit’s “order” against two of its cadres accused of attempting to murder a retired government officer in Kohima on May 27.
The JAC has sought response from the NSCN/GPRN that the group has issued a so-stated “order” on July 1, 2011 when the civil organization had met the group’s collective leadership only on July 22, 2011 at New Delhi where, also “we were informed that the co-accused ‘lance corporal’ Ngalengshang Chahongnao was innocent.”
The Join Action Committee comprises all Naga tribes’ women organizations. The JAC met on July 30, 2011. The organization acknowledged a letter from what was stated as “chief principal secretary of NSCN/GRPN,” to the JAC on the morning of July 30, 2011. A statement received here today from the JAC has sought response on the queried matter.
The JAC also acknowledged the “action taken” by the NSCN/GPRN on the accomplice “of finding him guilty” and while taking cognizance of the “military tribunal court order.”
However, the JAC has pointed to an element in the order. ‘The JAC seeks for clarification as to how the order was passed on 1-07-2011.where as, when the JAC met the collective leaderships on 22-07-2011 at New Delhi, we were informed that the co-accused lance corporal Ngalengshang Chahongnao was innocent. The JAC were informed of fresh inquiry on the matter,’ the JAC stated.
The JAC strongly noted the reasons cited by the NSCN/GPRN for not being able to arrest the prime accused. The JAC has demanded arrest of the culprit at the earliest.
