Wokha, October 17 (MExN): The late Dr H R Lotha, class X meritorious award programme was held at the Wokha Village Baptist Church (WVBC) on October 17.

A special devotional service was conducted to congratulate the successful candidates of class X and XII, and a prayer service for the students was also held.

On the occasion, the late Dr H R  Lotha annual meritorious award for class X students of Wokha Village was handed over by Mhabeni, daughter of late Dr H R Lotha.

 As per a press release received here today, Dr H R Lotha was the first MBBS doctor and the first gazetted officer from Wokha Village. To commemorate his achievement and to encourage the student community of Wokha Village, the family of late Dr Lotha acknowledges a meritorious student of class X every year, the release added.

Mhabeni, daughter of late Dr Lotha handed over a certificate and cash amount of Rs 7,000 to Chumreno Z Erui for her meritorious achievement from Wokha village in the recently declared NBSE class X exam result. She was also awarded with a citation by the Wokha village Baptist church.
