Longleng DTF issues new COVID-19 guidelines, SOPs

Longleng, January 22 (MExN): The District Task Force (DTF) Longleng has issued several COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions for “strict implementation” in the district to break its chain of transmission and prevent the surge of new cases.

According to a DIPR report, as per the new guidelines, teachers and staffs shall be allowed to hold regular or offline classes in educational institutions, only if they have taken at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine or produce COVID-19 negative test report done through RT-PCR/True Nat CBNAAT with the swab given for testing once in every 15  days .

“Any student of class-IX and above, who has completed 15 years of age shall be allowed to attend regular or offline classes, only if he or she has taken at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19,” it said. 

The heads of educational institutions should ensure strict adherence to both guidelines and submit status report to the chairman DTF, Longleng, it added. 

Further reopening of educational institutions shall be permitted only after due verification by the DTF and on receipt of No Objection Certificate from its chairman, the report informed. 

Bank customers may perhaps be allowed entry inside the bank, if he or she has taken at least one dose of vaccine or produce COVID-19 negative test report done through RT-PCR/True Nat/CBNAAT with the swab given for testing not earlier than 3 days from the date of entry inside the bank, it said. 

Seat tickets for passengers for bus/sumo/taxi services shall be issued to commuters, only if he or she has taken at least one dose of vaccine or produce negative test report done not earlier than 3 days from the date of the journey, it added. 

Any person or group of persons acting in violation of the above directions as well as all the other existing orders, SOPs, guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19, is  liable to be prosecuted under relevant Sections of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions as applicable, it cautioned. 

The new guideline is in pursuance of the Home Department and other standing SOPs/Orders/Guidelines of the State Government and decisions taken during the meeting of DTF for COVID-19 on January 11, it added.
