
Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): The Naga American Foundation (NAF) Board of Directors held its annual meeting in Melbourne, Arkansas on July 16. A press release received here stated that the Board members discussed issues pertaining to the NAF and the Naga community in the US and decided on some key appointments and decisions.
Dr Sanyo Konyak of Rockford, Illinois was appointed the new president of the NAF. Dr Konyak will be taking over from Honili Sema, who held the position of president since 2016. Tiala Chang of Buffalo Grove, Illinois was named as the new treasurer. Chang will be taking over from Esther Dennis, who held the post of NAF treasurer since 2012.
Dr Sanyo Konyak, in a brief message lauded the great strides the Naga American community continues to make in the United States and expressed his commitment to foster connections and strengthen ties among the Naga community in the country.
Meanwhile, the Board also announced that the next NAF Conference will take place on July 7 and 8, 2023, in Edison, New Jersey. The NAF has extended its appreciation to Rev Dr Louis Ao and family, who have agreed to serve as conference hosts.
