KOHIMA, MAY 28 (MExN): Nine more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland on May 28, bringing the State’s tally to 18. Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha today informed that all the positive persons are being kept under medical observation at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing in connection with the positive cases is being carried out. Till date a total of 1702 samples have been tested. The results of 1276 samples have been received, out of which 18 as mentioned above are positive. The results for 426 samples are awaited. Through the Truenat testing machines so far a total of 63 samples have been tested, out of which 59 are negative and results of 4 samples are awaited. The new cases include 6 from Dimapur and 3 from Tuensang. Accordingly, there are now 12 active cases in Dimapur, 2 in Kohima and 4 in Tuensang for a total of 18 cases across the state.
