Nagaland CM inspects preparations in COVID-19 Hospital Zunheboto, Phek

Zunheboto, May 15 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio along with Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton visited COVID-19 Hospital Zunheboto on May 15 and inspected various arrangements made at the hospital including the isolation wards and the newly set up ICU facility.
A DIPR report stated that the CM was accompanied by Minister Health and Family Welfare, S Panynyu Phom, Minister Agriculture, G Kaito Aye, Advisor School Education, KT Sukhalu and Advisor, Tourism, Art and Culture, Khehovi Yepto.
After the visit, a meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s residence with officers and NGOs representing Sumi Hoho, Sumi Kukami Hoho, Sumi Totimi Hoho and church leaders.
Addressing the meeting, Rio acknowledged “God for keeping Nagaland safe. We are a testament of His grace and protection.” He said, “By the grace of God, we are a little more prepared today then we were yesterday.”
The CM also highlighted the need to learn how to be self sufficient and said, “Everyone must work towards being self reliant.”
The Deputy CM who also spoke in the meeting appreciated the civil societies for their full cooperation and support.
Phek: The CM also visited Phek district on May 15 where he had a meeting with District administration, officers and NGOs of Phek District. He was accompanied by Y Patton, Dy CM, S Pangnyu Phom, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Neiba Kronu, Minister for Planning & Coordination and Land Revenue, KT Sukhalu Advisor, School Education, Kazheto Kinimi, Advisor, CAWD & NSDMA, Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA and Kezhienyi Khalo, MLA.
In the meeting, the CM said, “Nagaland is in a green zone till now, however, we need to be alert and appealed to the people to stay at home for safety measures.”
Short speeches were given by S Pangnyu Phom, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Neiba Kronu, Minister for Planning & Coordination and Land Revenue, Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA and CPO President Mikha Kenye.
The CM also visited District Hospital Phek to review the preparedness and measures taken against COVID-19. The meeting was chaired by Sachin Jaiswal, IAS Deputy Commissioner Phek.
