Nagaland COVID-19 update
872 samples test negative, results for 10 awaited
KOHIMA, May 12 (MExN): A total of 872 samples sent for COVID-19 testing from Nagaland have tested negative as of 3:00 pm, May 12.
Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha today informed that out of the 882 samples sent for testing from the State, results for 10 samples are awaited. A total of 11 samples were also tested by Truenat machines and all were tested as negative, he added.
He meanwhile informed a total of 6532 persons have been screened today throughout the state and a total of 86 persons are under Facility Quarantine.
The Principal Secretary also informed that a total of Rs 7.57 crore has been disbursed as financial assistance in the form of cash grants to persons from Nagaland stranded or in distress outside the state. A total of 19464 applicants comprising of 14357 working people, 4933 students and 175 patients have been provided assistance till now by transferring the amounts to their bank accounts, he stated.
Sinha meanwhile informed that it is mandatory for people who are returning to the State to register themselves in the nCOVID-19 Nagaland-Visitors App which is available for android users.
