Nagaland Governor extends aid to remote villages of Tuensang dist

Tuensang, June 23 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi has extended aid to 10 of the most remote villages of Tuensang district with basic medical kits through the Deputy Commissioner’s office Tuensang. The packages were distributed by DC and Chairman DTF, Kumar Ramnikant, in the presence of CKS President, Nungsanglemba Chang at DC’s Office, Tuensang on June 23, informed a DIPR report. 

Head GBs of three villages, viz. Waoshu, Yimpang and Taknyu were handed over with the packages from the DC’s office while the packages meant for seven villages were handed over to the respective administrative officers for delivery to the concerned villages. The packages contain medical equipment like oximeters, glucose meters, basic medicines, masks and PPE kits etc. The ten villages of the district which received the aid are Losolo, Keyanru, K Longsor, Kephore, Longtuker, Shongkiu, Khonangpong, Taknyu, Yempang and Waoshu.

DC and Chairman DTF said the medical accessories are meant for medical emergencies which need to be utilized with proper consultation from the staffs of the respective PHCs and health centres. The village councils were also told to make proper use of items received so as to benefit the villagers during pandemic situation.
