Mon, April 11 (MExN): Minster of Health & Family Welfare (H&FW), P Paiwang visited the District Hospital, Mon on April 11. The Minister requested the medical officials and the staff to utilize the internet facilities, stated a DIPR report.
Paiwang disclosed that he plans to introduce a new programme for which he will provide “serviceable laptop to CMO and Medical Superintendent very soon for video conference to share their problems and grievances.”
During the occasion, Commissioner & Secretary, H&FW, Y Kikheto Sema, IAS said District Hospital Mon is “one of the best hospitals in term of infrastructure.” Appreciating the work of MSF, he urged the hospital to continue with the work.
Kikheto highlighted that there are 4000 plus cases of Tuberculosis in Nagaland with the highest in Mon. On this, he urged all to contribute more towards eliminating TB.
He also requested for cooperation towards construction of Medical College Mon.
Dr Temjentsungla, Principal Director, H&FW assured that “ICU facility in District Hospital Mon will be functioning very soon,” the DIPR report stated. Regarding the shortage of the manpower, she assured to “look into this matter at the earliest.”
The CMO Mon highlighted the shortage of manpower not only in District Hospital Mon but also at the outpost of Mon district.
Later, Minster P Paiwang, accompanied by Commissioner Secretary, Principal Director and a host of officials from H&FW visited the construction site of Medical Collage Mon.
