Nagaland to mark WED 2020 with online competitions
Dimapur, May 15 (MExN): World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on June 5 every year, to spread awareness and action for protection of environment.
However, with the current COVID 19 pandemic, Rajkumar M, IFS, DFO Kohima on May 15 made an announcement that unlike the previous years, World Environment Day 2020 will be responsibly observed maintaining social distancing.
In this regard, a free online competition on the theme ‘Biodiversity’ is will be conducted for two sections - School Children and Open.
For the School Children section categories of competition include paintings (for classes II to IV), Short Story (for classes V to VII), Poems (Classes VIII to X) and Poster (Classes XI to XII). For the Open section entries are invited for paintings (preferably with a traditional touch) and articles.
