Kohima, July 31 (MExN): The Nagaland Medical Students' Union Bihar (NMSUB) in collaboration with Patna Mission Field, Presbyterian of India, has conducted a free medical camp at Khoksa village, Vaishali- Bihar on July 29.

The camp was organised in commemoration of the 3rd NMSUB general conference along with the necessity to promote healthcare facilities to the rural parts of Bihar.

A short program was conducted, led by pastor Jerry R. Lalrinkima, where Dr. Nyemwang W Konyak expressed gratitude to Patna Mission Field for providing platforms to the Union to carry out such camp for the benefit of the public.

As many as 157 patients benefitted from the medical camp.

The medical team comprised of 3 specialist doctors, 3 intern doctors, 22 medical students, 1 nurse and several other non-medical volunteers. The camp was led by NMSUB advisors Dr. Takum Mokholee (Senior Resident, psychiatry, ANMMCH, Gaya, Bihar), Dr Nyemwang W Konyak (senior resident, surgery NMCH, Patna, Bihar), Dr Manom Konyak (PG, anesthesia, IGIMS, Patna), and Longzochang Imchen.

The camp carried out screening of all patients for NCD, free check-up, consultations, counselling and awareness for various health issues.
