Two cadets of Sainik School Punglwa excel in NDA exam
Peren, December 6 (MExN): Maintaining the prime objective of the school to prepare the cadets to join the Defence Forces, two cadets of Sainik School Punglwa have once again earned laurels for their schools wherein Cadet Amar Sharma, Adm No 606 and Cadet Devesh Anand, Adm No 904 of 2018-19 batch cleared the UPSC 142 / NDA and 104 / NA examination that was conducted in the month of September 2018. SSP in a press release stated that the successful cadets will be shortly leaving for SSB (Service Selection Board) at different places of SSB assigned by UPSC. Sharing in their success and happiness, the school wished the cadets a successful and bright career journey ahead.
Applications for temporary fireworks license
Dimapur, December 6 (MExN): In accordance with Rule 84 of Explosive Rules, 2008 and circular by Chief Controller of Explosive, applications for temporary fireworks license will be issued at the office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur. Therefore, interested parties to stock and sell fire crackers are directed to obtain permits for the same i.e. Licence in Form LE-5 after duly filling up form AE-5. The same may be obtained from the office of the Commissioner of Police. The licences will be issued totally on a temporary basis. Further, licences will be issued only for sale during New Year. This was stated in a press release issued by Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police/PRO Dimapur.
ZAPO resolve to preserve flora & fauna
Kohima, December 6 (MExN): In accordance with the standing resolution of the Chakhesang community in preserving the rich flora and fauna within its jurisdiction, the Zuketsa Area Public Organisation (ZAPO) informed all the affiliated villages and the neighboring villages, both from Nagaland and Manipur, that the ZAPO in its general session held earlier this year resolved to strictly uphold the resolution of the community within their jurisdiction. ZAPO General Secretary Rite Khutso in a press release therefore, asked all the villages/units of ZAPO and neighboring villages to inform and control its members from hunting, fishing, burning of jungle etc. The Union also asked all concerns to control their own cattle. In case of finding any defaulters, the Union shall take necessary actions as deem fit against the defaulters, it stated.
ZCCI holds annual session
Zunheboto, December 6 (MExN): The 4th Annual session of Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ZCCI) was held on December 1. During the session the erstwhile Zunheboto Local Business Association was declared merged with ZCCI, a press release from DPRO Zunheboto informed. A new team of office bearers was also elected at the session with Shikahoto Jakha as the President and Niheto Shohe as the Vice President. A Vikato Sumi and HotopuYeptho were elected as General Secretary and Media and Press Secretary respectively.
