ASTD appeals 

Dimapur, March 11 (MExN): The Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has once again appealed to all family members or relatives whose beloved are laid to rest at the cemetery to make it convenient to reach out to the ASTD Help Desk that is set up at the cemetery from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (Monday to Saturday) till March 20, after which ASTD will start with the beautification project. The ASTD in continuation to the press release dated March 4 with regard to the beautification and safeguarding of the old Naga Cemetery at Lake View Colony, Dimapur has thanked all for the overwhelming response towards the project. 

ASU 1st Union Assembly for tenure 2021-23

Kohima, March 11 (MExN): All the subordinate bodies and units of the Angami Students’ Union (ASU) have been informed that the 1st Union Assembly of ASU for the tenure 2021-23  have been scheduled for March 17 at Indoor Stadium, D’Khel, Kohima Village from 11:00 AM onwards. SU union assembly speaker Viranu Ltu and assembly secretary Kekhrievotso Medoze requested all the concerned to make themselves convenient to attend the same positively.

Tsoshu Festival greetings

Kohima, March 11 (MExN): Governor of Assam and Nagaland Prof Jagdish Mukhi has conveyed Tsoshu greetings to the Sangtam community and the people of Nagaland. This beautiful festival marks the preparation for the arrival of spring, it heralds the beginning of cultivation process seeking blessings for a bountiful harvest, the Governor stated. He also called to celebrate this beautiful festival responsibly by adhering to all the COVID-19 protocols. “On this significant occasion, I wish you all a safe and a joyous festival. God bless Nagaland,” he added. 

The Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has greeted the Sangtam community on the occasion of Tsohsu. Patton said that this is the time for thanksgiving and prayers offered to the Creator for blessing the crops. On behalf of the state BJP legislators, the Dy.CM conveyed festive greetings and prayed that it will be celebrated in unity and in good spirits.
