Home Dept notifies Grade IV Staff
Kohima, November 16 (MExN): The State Home Department directed all Grade IV Staff under Home Department, SAB-'B' - Peons, Chowkidars, Mali and Sweeper posted in different departments and attached with Ministers/Advisors/Officers to fill up and submit the incumbency list on or before November 21, to the branch. The directive has been issued in connection with the forthcoming Nagaland State Legislative Assembly Election 2023, as per the State DIPR. The controlling Officer of the branch/department concerned has been requested to verify the details given by the staff before submitting the format, it added.
DC Kohima informs
Kohima, November 16 (MExN): The Office of Deputy Commissioner Kohima has informed the concerned villages and all the Ward panchayat/Colony under Kohima Town that the Assam Rifles will be conducting small arms firing from December 1-31 at Firing Range Kohima. In this connection, all concerned have been informed to refrain from entering the Firing Range or take their cattle for grazing near the area from December 1-31.
DNSU assembly on November 19
Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has informed that its 3rd Assembly is scheduled on November 19 at the Conference Hall, Hotel Four Seasons, Dimapur from 2PM onwards. In this connection, all the constituent Unit Presidents/General Secretaries, Executive Members, and seniors of DNSU have been requested to attend the assembly.
Unidentified man found dead in Dimapur
Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): An unidentified dead body of a man, aged around 35-40 years was recovered from the railway colony on Wednesday morning. According to the Dimapur Police, the deceased, measuring about 5ft 6 inches in height, was found wearing a ‘blue jean pant, blue colour hoody, cream colour T-shirt, light orange/red T-shirt/vest, brown belt, and shorts (boxer).’ On completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Morgue for Post-mortem examination/identification, informed a press release from Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur Police. Claimant/ relatives/ friends of the deceased can contact the Officer-in-Charge, East Police Station, Dimapur at 7085055020 for enquiry, it added.
