After much deserved anticipation, the old Sewak road leading towards Faith Hospital has been given a new facelift (500 meters approximately). Earlier, youths of Sewak colony had staged a protest against the deplorable road condition on June 1, which was highlighted across social media platforms, by organising a mock angling competition created by potholes on the weathered road. 173 Bn CRPF based at Airfield Dimapur celebrated the 18th Unit Raising Day on August 2. To mark the occasion, a Swarndharam Puja was conducted, followed by paying homage to the Martyrs. Vishnu Goutam, DIGP addressed a Sainik Sammelan of all ranks. As a prelude to the main celebration, the unit, on August 1 organized tree plantation drive at all the camps in Dimapur and Chümoukedima districts, blood donation camp at Battalion Headquarters at Airfield in corroboration with District Hospital Blood Bank, Dimapur besides conducting Inter-Coys Games and Sports activities. Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, on August 3 inaugurated an Office-cum-commercial building of United Soyim Club, Ungma, Mokokchung. The building was constructed in commemoration of the Club's Golden Jubilee which was celebrated on December 2021. The building was dedicated by Rev. Noklen Longkumer, Pastor, Ungma Baptist Church.
