Dimapur based Naga Terriers and Assam Rifles under the aegis of Spear Corps and IGAR (N) conducted a ration distribution drive in Aoyimkum village. Beneficiary families included 41 daily wage earners of the village who were the worst affected due to the ongoing pandemic lockdown. Dry rations and daily essential needs were distributed on the occasion which was also graced by the presence of Village Council members, Student Union representative and prominent citizens of the Aoyimkum village. District Task Force, Longleng conducted a special drive on random sampling covering all villages under EAC Sakshi Circle on June 27. The exercise was conducted by four teams headed by Deputy Commissioner, Longleng M Shayung Phom, NCS; Sr Superintendent of Police, Longleng, Yanithung Ezung, NPS; Additional Deputy Commissioner Longleng D Robin, NCS and SDO Civil Longleng Trongdiba Tongpi T Sangram, NCS along with officers from District Administration, Police, VG and Medical Department with the objective to analyze the positivity rate in the rural areas.
