The Dimapur Sümi Council has elected a new team of office bearers, judicial board and advisors for the 2023 -2028 tenure led by Shikuto Yeptho as the President. The others include Vice President (Administration) Hokuto Zhimo, Vice President (Development) Nikhevi Yeptho; General Secretary, N Inato Swu; Finance Secretary, Daniel Swu; Asst Finance Secretary, Vikheto Chisho; Information & Publicity Secretary, V. Tokuto Zhimomi; Press Secretary, Jonah Achumi. The Judicial Board will be led by Convener Hozka K Awomi while the Advisors include Kuhoi Zhimo, Vikato Zhimo and Hoyivi Awomi. ABAM Youth Ministry organized ‘Contextual training’ for Associate Pastor Youth from April 11 to 14 at Pine Book Centre, Umbang, Meghalaya. Altogether 89 Associate Pastor Youth attended the training. The Dimapur District Transport office under the initiative of the Nagaland Pollution Control Board began a month-long awareness drive on the National Clean Air programme. The awareness campaign started at various strategic locations in and around Dimapur and Chümoukedima on April 15 under the leadership of D Jambo, DTO Dimapur. During the campaign, the officials disseminate basic information about pollution caused by emissions from automobiles. Do's and don'ts tips to reduce pollution from automobiles were highlighted and distributed to the automobile users as paper flyers. The officials held short seminars with the automobile users on-road vehicles and Testing emission levels such as Carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrocarbons (Hc), carbon monoxide (Co), and oxide of nitrogen (Nox) were checked free of cost during the campaign drive. The Art Club of Norman Putsure College, Chümoukedima organised its first Cosfest Carnival on April 15, with an aim to let the students showcase their creativity through the costumes. The programme was hosted by Orenvungi Tsanglao, began with an invocation followed by welcome speech by Saneinuo Putsure, Managing Director, NPC. In the Cosfest Carnival four houses viz. Aqua, Ventus, Ignis and Terra took part in various competitions where Terra house emerged as the overall champion.
