The Assam Valley Baptist Mission (AVBM) celebrated its 17th Foundation Day at its Nakachari HQ today with Rev O Yashi Jamir, Pastor, Sungkomen Baptist Church, Mokokchung as speaker. The programme started with dedication of a Scooty and bed linen kit box financed and sponsored by Sungkomen Baptist Church. A silent prayer was observed in honour of late Imsu Jamir, AVBM founder Adviser, late Rev Lima Jamir, Pastor, Kumlong Baptist Church, late Amos Dimbu, Pastor of Gabharoo Grant Baptist Church and late Temjenmenla of Tekameri Mission.
The induction ceremony of Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali as district president of Bharat Scouts & Guides was held at DC’s office chamber, Zunheboto on July 30. Lions Club of Dimapur approached the fire victims of Master Colony with relief materials on July 28. A total of 23 households were completely gutted on July 27 midnight. President of Lions Club Dimapur, Sandrep Bakliwal; Secretary, Sanjay Jaiswal; and Treasurer, Rohit Jain along with some senior members assured of any future help that the victims may require.
The NDPP Wokha region on July 30 organised a mass plantation drive under the theme ‘Plant Trees, Save Earth,’ in honour of Neiphiu Rio, the longest serving Chief Minister of Nagaland. The plantation drive was attended by NDPP Wokha region parent body along with Women, Agri & allied and youth organisation.
