Nagaland: No new COVID deaths reported, cases increase by 103

Dimapur, June 23 (MExN): Nagaland’s Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) announced 103 fresh COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. The state stands at 24,541 cumulative cases.

No deaths were reported, and the death toll remains at 463. This is the first time the state has reported zero deaths due to COVID-19 since mid-April.

The state also reported that 277 individuals had recovered from COVID-19, among the known cases.

Among the fresh cases, Dimapur reported 24, Kohima 20, Tuensang 16, Mokokchung 11, Peren 9, Zunheboto 8, Phek 7, Wokha 6, Kiphire 1 and Mon 1. The new cases were detected from 1,258 samples, indicating a daily positivity rate of 8.18 percent.

The state at present has a total of 1,578 active cases.
