Nagaland: NSF places charter of demands on NSSB recruitment

Tells State Govt to enforce demands within 10 days

Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): Following the conduct of the preliminary examination for the Combined Staff Recruitment Examination 2022 by the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB), the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has put forward a three-point charter of demands, “in order to ensure fairness and transparency in the examination process.”

In this connection, the NSF has written to the Nagaland Chief Secretary on Wednesday demanding that the “12.5% marks allotted in the Viva Voce as advertised vide NO.NSSB/EXAM-4/8/2022 be reduced to 5% in all categories.” It also stipulated that CCTv cameras be installed in the Interview Room to effectively monitor the interview process and for necessary perusal.

The NSF also demanded that “representative(s) from Naga Students’ Federation be invited during the interview process as ‘Observer.’”

Further, stating that the conduct of CSRE was a realisation of the long cherished dream of thousands of aspirants in the state to equal job opportunity and meritocracy in the process of selection to Group-C posts, the NSF was optimistic that the Government of Nagaland would comply with the charter of demands and enforce the same within 10 days with effect from November 16.

This is in the interest of the youths and students’ community, stated NSF President Kegwayhun Tep in the letter.
