Nagaland Police take pro-active steps against drug menace
• 38 cases registered, 40 persons arrested
• 53 house and 1757 vehicle raided
Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): Nagaland Police, in its drive against the menace of drugs and psychotropic substances have taken pro-active steps and during the last fortnight w.e.f February 27 to March 12, has registered 38 cases wherein 40 persons were arrested. It conducted 53 house raids and 1757 vehicle raids, stated a DIPR report. During the mentioned period, the Nagaland Police have also made the following seizures.
Further, on March 16 the Tuensang Police conducted MVCP and made a seizure of Eskuf DX cough syrup (100 ml) -150 bottles; Recodex DX cough syrup (100 ml)- 120 bottles; Tramadol & Acetaminophen -450 tabs; Dicyclomine hydrochloride-200 tabs the market value of which are estimated to be Rs 93,000 approximately. In this connection, one person was arrested and a case was registered at Tuensang PS Case NO. 12/2022 U/S 22 (c) NDPS Act R/W 125 B/34 IPC.
Meanwhile, the Nagaland Police to appealed to the general public to combat the menace jointly by providing any information related to sale/distribution/transport of any form of narcotics/drugs/IMFL, etc., to the nearest Police station or Nagaland Police officers whose CUG phone numbers are available in the 'Call Your Cop' mobile App.
