Nagaland Power Dept bids farewell to outgoing Engineer-in-Chief

Kohima, August 31 (MExN): A farewell programme in honour of outgoing Engineer-in-Chief, Er Nribemo Mozhui was held in the conference hall of Power Department, Kohima on August 31.

A press release received here stated that in his speech, Association of Power Engineers Nagaland (APEN), President, Er Kasho Chishi congratulated the outgoing Engineer-in-Chief for completing his 35 years of sincere and dedicated service and described him as an individual who faced any kind of challenges with calm and humility. Er Penrithung Yanthan, Chief Engineer (D&R) narrated on the journey of Er Mozhui and credited him for creating a good and conducive working environment in the Department. The Chief Engineer also described him as a tolerant, patient and dedicated officer.

Incoming Engineer-in-Chief, Er Moa Aier stated that the Department under the leadership of Er Mozhui was able to complete some important projects during his tenure and added that he was an inspiration who took his duties and responsibilities well and encouraged all the officers and staff of the Department to continue his legacy. Principal Secretary (Power), KD Vizo said that the outgoing Engineer-in-Chief played a vital role in the Department as well as in the society.

The outgoing Engineer-in-Chief in his farewell speech thanked the Almighty for providing him the privilege to serve in the Department and also thanked all the officers and Staff for constant support throughout his tenure. He elucidated that the Department was machinery for development and economic growth in the State for which it shouldered huge responsibility and hence encouraged all to continue the dedication towards providing good service. 

Highlighting that the State is deficit in Power and buying its major requirement from outside, he expressed happiness that the Department is engaged in developing generation projects and is doing its best in bringing out more generating projects. He hoped that the State will one day have sufficient power to meet its needs and encouraged the Department to sincerely pursue developing generating projects.

The programme was chaired by Er Tiameren Walling, Chief Engineer (D&R), invocation by Er Myingthungo N Ngullie, vote of thanks by Er Visakho Therie, Addl. Chief Engineer (Civil) and special number by officers & staff of the Department.
