A day care centre of Power Department was inaugurated by Asangla Imti, IAS, Secretary (Power) at the office premises of the Engineer-in-Chief, Power.
                          
                  
Kohima, March 9 (MExN): On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, a day care centre of Power Department was inaugurated by Asangla Imti, IAS, Secretary (Power) at the office premises of the Engineer-in-Chief, Power.
In her inaugural address, Asangla Imti stated that such facility can provide a nurturing environment for children, allowing them to socialize with other children and help in developing their skillsand etiquette while also giving a sense of security to the parents. She encouraged the employees to bring their children to the centre and make full use of the facility. Asangla Imti also hoped that by starting the day care centre, work productivity would improve and absenteeism in the workplace would also reduce.
Er Moa Aier, Engineer-in-Chief, Power in his message highlighted that the health of a child and mother is extremely important not only for the individuals concerned, but for the family and society at large. He hoped that the center albeit a small contribution of the Department would be significant towards a healthier and more productive society and a better Naga future.
In his speech, Er PenrithungYanthan, Chief Engineer (T&G) elaborated on the background behind the initiative and thanked all those who have made the initiative a success. He expressed how important it is for a child to be with a mother.
Short speeches were also delivered by Er Atoho Jakhalu, Chief Electrical Inspector and Er Kasho Chishi, Addl Chief Engineer (T&G).
Earlier, the programme was chaired by R Mhonchumi Ngullie, Accounts officer (DoPN). invocation by Zubeni Humtsoe, Director, Christian Education Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, special Number by Tokehli & Tozheli Swu and vote of thanks by Er Kikrusenuo, Executive Engineer (LCCD).
