Nagaland reported 88 new COVID-19 cases from seven districts with a daily positivity rate of 8.93 percent on June 24.
Among the districts, Kohima reported 36 new cases, Dimapur 11, Mokokchung 11, Zunheboto 9, Peren 11, Tuensang 7, and Mon 3.
A total of 33 cases were reported from self tests and random tests, 43 from traced contacts, 7 from front line workers, 4 from returnees/travellers and 1from armed forces/security personnel, as per the daily bulletin issued by the State Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP).
The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 24,629.
155 patients also recovered from the infection on Thursday, taking the State’s recovery tally to 21945.
There are 1509 active cases in Nagaland at present with 85 admitted in the COVID Hospitals and 1352 under home isolation.
Meanwhile, the State also reported 2 more deaths—1 each from Kohima and Zunheboto, taking the State’s official death toll to 465. The bulletin also categorized 14 other deaths as ‘not COVID related’.
