Dimapur, June 27 (MExN): Nagaland’s first investor network, ‘YouthNet Investor Network’ was launched at Made in Nagaland Centre, Chümoukedima on June 27.

The formation of YouthNet Investor Network, a pioneering initiative aimed at supporting startups and entrepreneurs, is in pursuance for mutual benefits as well as for the development of a conducive ecosystem for promoting entrepreneurship, stated a press release from the YouthNet.

The ‘Investor Network’ signing had the presence of T Jamir, General Manager, Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation Ltd; Nuneseno Chase, Director YouthNet; and mentors of YouthNet Incubation Centre including Yanpvuo Kikon, Founder Kikonic Tech and Kley Enterprise; Lanu Akum Imchen, proprietor Cold Mountain; Albert Sangtam, proprietor, Clefnote; and Neikepekho Shosahie, Manager, YouthNet Incubation Centre. 

The YouthNet Investor Network has been established with the vision of fostering growth and innovation among startups and entrepreneurs in Nagaland with special deliberation for incubatees at YouthNet Incubation Centre (YIC). 

Through this pioneering investor network, investment opportunities from the investors can or will be extended to startups and entrepreneurs in the form of finance, kind, knowledge, and resources. 

“By connecting investors with promising startups, we strive to create a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem that propels Nagaland to new heights. We take pride to being the first Investor Network in Nagaland, paving the way for future collaborations and investments,” YouthNet stated.

To initiate the investment process, the initial funding for the YouthNet Investor Network was seeded through the 10% contributed to YouthNet Incubation Centre. This financial support is made possible through the successful auctioning by YIC Mentor Yanpvuo Kikon for Imli Sunep's art piece titled, ‘Rays of Hope’ who also emerged as the winner of the PwD Startup Competition hosted by the YouthNet Incubation Centre on June 16 supported by Startup Nagaland, Department of Industries & Commerce. Imli Sunep's artwork represents the spirit of inspiration, resilience, determination, and innovation that we aim to foster within the entrepreneurial community.
