Kohima, June 28 (MExN): The Naga Business Association Kohima (NBAK) has appealed to the State government to look into the plight of the local entrepreneurs as many continue to face hardships during the lockdown.
The government is slowly exempting business houses other than the groceries, but many establishments are yet to be exempted from the purview of the lockdown, the NBAK Media Cell stated in a press release.
It stated that ‘exempting few business establishments and closing down the others is not the only solution to contain the virus,’ and the government’s order for opening shops during a time limit only invites more rush for shopping. It also felt that closing down garments and footwear shops has caused great hardship to citizens.
NBAK observed that “people are becoming more educated and self-protective,” therefore, government should exempt the other business establishments as well and also extend the time duration for opening shops.
