Longleng, March 6 (MExN): The Longleng Region of Nationalist Democratic People's Party (NDPP) had a consultative meeting-cum-dedication programme of new office bearers at Longleng, the Media Cell of Longleng Region informed.
In a press communiqué issued on March 2, the Media Cell stated that the outgoing President B Hayu Phom exhorted party workers to dedicate themselves towards ensuring proper functioning of the party. He also thanked them for their sincere cooperation throughout his tenure. Newly inducted President H Leisha Phom also appreciated the party workers and the central office for reposing their faith in him while stating that he would work for the welfare of the people and be steadfast and committed in discharging his duty.
Former ministers N Metpong Phom and B Phongshak Phom and ex-candidate YB Angam also addressed the meeting and called on party workers to work together for the betterment of the party and also be stronger in reaching the masses at the grassroots.
Short speeches were also delivered by Chingshet Vice President, Longleng Region and Ape Phom, President 49 A/C who, citing the party motto—‘Facta Non Verba,’ urged the party men and women to work intensively in unison for the development and upliftment of the party.
As per the communiqué, Associate Pastor of Longleng Town Baptist Church Mongngoi Phom pronounced the invocation and dedicatory prayers for the new office bearers while Longleng Region Women Wing President Mongau Phom delivered the vote of thanks.
The programme was chaired by the region’s Working President Longba Phom while welcome address was delivered by Vice President M Lomching Phom.
