Kohima, March 9 (MExN): Election of the Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly will held on March 19, according to an official release. Commissioner & Secretary Dr PJ Antony issued a press release on Wednesday stating that the NLA Speaker had fixed the election for March 19 under Rule 8 (1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Assembly. Filing of nomination papers will be done on March 14 and 15 between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm while the last date of withdrawal will be March 16. Following this, scrutiny of nominations will be done on March 17 and the election will be held on March 19, the release stated.
