Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has extended solidarity to the Global Naga Forum (GNF) in response to the call of the ‘Naga Solidarity Walk’ under the theme, ‘One People, One Destiny’ which is scheduled to be held on July 28 and 29.
“As Nagas, we are going through one of the most trying times with suspicion, hatred and diverse mindsets. We fervently urge upon all to rise above this feeling of tribalism, which continues to be the root cause of our division. A time has come for us to unite and stand committed to our goals as one people, because a divided house can never stand strong,” NMA stated in a press release.
“As mothers, we strongly believe that peace and unity need to be nurtured and activated in its fullest form,” it stated.
“We therefore, humbly appeal to all our Units and concerned citizens irrespective of affiliations to join the historical peaceful walk. Your support and participation in this historic and significant event will carry the message of “One People, One Destiny” loud and clear,” NMA stated.
TUD: The Tenyimi Union Dirnapur (TUD) in a press release while extending its support to the ‘Naga Solidarity Walk’ appealed to all Nagas to participate in the program. “Let us take this opportunity to make known to the outside world, our feeling of oneness, our dream to live together as a nation,” TUD office appealed in its press release.
