Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) under the Naga National Council (NNC), led by Brig (Retd) S Singnya Kedahge, has welcomed the return of national workers from the Chakhesang region, including both civil authorities and members of the Naga Army.
In a statement, the NNC/FGN said the returning group, led by the 5th Brigade Commander, Southern Command of the Naga Army, had earlier moved out from the Thupuneyi Rhakho group, and their rejoining is expected to strengthen the Chakhesang region under its leadership.
The organisation also announced the appointment of Toto Nienu as Acting Midan Peyu of the Chakhesang region, and appealed to well-wishers and the public to extend support and cooperation to the new appointee for the smooth functioning of the region.
The NNC/FGN further listed the names of Naga Army personnel who have rejoined, including Brigadier Kuveshevo Venuh, 5th Brigade Commander (Southern Command), Major Rami Venuh, Major Mulukhoto Chizo, Major Kevi, Captain Vene-o, and Lieutenant Vesavo.
It reiterated that the development would contribute to strengthening the Chakhesang region and the Naga nation.
