Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): The Dhansiripar Government High School (GHS) has been without a mathematics and science teacher for the last one year, according to the Dimasa Naisho Hosom (DNH). On Sunday, the DNH Media Cell stated that the Dhansiripar GHS is one of the oldest in Nagaland but has remained neglected till date.
“Several applications/memorandums were submitted to the Government of Nagaland in the past for up-gradation of the School to Higher Secondary level but the Government remained deaf to the pleas till today," citing reasons that could have been condoned considering the large population, it said.
The release, citing reports from students of the school, stated that there was no mathematics and science teacher for the last one year or so. As the syllabus for the two subjects have not been completed, the students had resort to private tuitions, it said. In this connection, the DNH has appealed to the Government to provide teachers for Maths/Science for the students to excel and bring good results. The negligence to the Dhansiripar Sub-division is felt in all departments, it added.
