DIMAPUR, MARCH 5 (MExN): The NPF, Kiphire area unit has expressed “dismay over the recent developments in the DAN ministry in allotting the cabinet berths.” A letter to the Chief Minister, Neipiu Rio stated that “despite ample reason to offer the ministerial berth to T Torechu, the party had denied the privilege.” It also stated that the unit wondered as to how the nominating committee could neglect the district by not awarding the cabinet seat. It added that Torechu is a leader “accepted by the people of the constituency” and that the denial of a cabinet position for him has “upset” the NPF, Kiphire unit. It also stated that Torechu has always supported the NPF party and its principles. A Rakhi, President of the NPF, 60 Kiphire A/C area unit said that in order to renew faith on the party, “the unit hopes that the committee will satisfy the constituency by allotting it some important portfolio in the DAN ministry.”
