DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Khango), led by President Lieut Gen (Retd) Khango Konyak and Ato Kilonser Hokato Vusshe, has unanimously reaffirmed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UGN/NNC (PB), represented by President Kiuthsangkhiung and General Secretary Nupavi Achumi.
This reaffirmation took place on September 23, emphasizing their commitment to work together for the greater interests of the Nagas and to achieve early peaceful political resolutions, a press release issued by NSCN –K (Khango) stated on Tuesday.
The re-affirmation of MoU was necessitated following misunderstanding and confliction among Z. Royim, group, also called NNC (PB), despite serving 30 days for reconciliation among themselves, Z. Royim group miserably failed to adhere with its directive, thus breaching the MoU, thereby his group (NNC (PB) was disassociated from the membership of NNPA, the press release issued by NSCN-K (Khango) claimed.
In light of these developments, the NSCN–K (Khango) has issued stern warning to NNC (PB) Z. Royim group, accusing it of pursuing self-interests by collecting taxes without a clear vision for the Naga national movement.
The NSCN-K (Khango) government cautioned it will not be held any responsible in case of any such complication arises in the near future.
