NSCN/GPRN (K) lauds efforts to bring reconciliation

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (K) has expressed appreciation to the Government of India’s Interlocutor, RN Ravi; Convenor, NNPG/WC, N Kitovi Zhimomi; and Co-Convenors, NGBF, NTC, CNTC and Peace mediation committee for their efforts in resolving the internal differences within the NSCN/GPRN (K) mutually.

A press release from the MIP of the NSCN/GPRN (K) further acknowledged the “efforts of the prayer groups especially the Nagaland for Christ Church and Thilixu Village Baptist Church for their endless prayer in resolving this conflict peacefully and amicably.”

It stated that the collective leadership, NSCN/GPRN (K) has also thanked the party workers, government officials, military setup and all the ranks and files of NSCN/GPRN (K) “for their unflinching support and stand in resolving the internal crisis in goodwill keeping in mind the interest of the Nagas above all.”

It affirmed that the NSCN/GPRN (K) would “continue to uphold and honour the covenant of NNPG as agreed and signed and will continue to re-strengthen the ongoing peace process under the NNPG and will not allow any undesirable elements to break/wreck the ongoing negotiation which is expected/anticipated to be concluded any time, as signed and reaffirmed by NNPG, NGBF, NTC, CNTC, peace mediation committee.” 

It meanwhile noted that the NGBF had intervened and “brought the NSCN/GPRN (K) President Lt. General Khango Konyak and Ato Kilonser Col. (Retd.) Isak Sumi under the same roof,” Thereafter “a reconciliation prayer was conducted by Rev. Hukiya Achumi and Boqhito Chishi pastors of Thilixu Village Baptist Church.”
