Lumami, September 23 (MExN): The Department of Chemistry, Nagaland University, hosted a felicitation programme to recognise the outstanding achievements of its faculty members. The event, held in the department’s Seminar Hall on September 23, was attended by both students and staff.
The Head of the Department, Prof Upasana Bora Sinha, welcomed the audience. The programme highlighted the contributions of three faculty members: Prof Ambrish Singh for being listed among the world’s Top 2% Scientists for 2024; Prof M Indira Devi for being elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry; and Prof Dipak Sinha for also being elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
The professors took the opportunity to share their journeys, reflecting on the challenges faced in the department’s early years and celebrating its recent advancements. They offered words of encouragement to the students, urging them to stay resilient in the face of challenges and to pursue innovative solutions to problems.
