DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 10 (MExN): A swelling Dhansiri river claimed one life on Saturday, September 10. The person, who drowned was identified as V. Mungyang Phom (40 years) of Circuit House colony. According to relatives, he had gone to the edge of the river (near Urban Haat) in the morning to try his luck fishing. He is said to have drowned at around 10:30 am. A father of two, he hailed from Yangnyah village under Longleng district and was a ‘Dobashi’ in the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Dimapur. Till late afternoon the body was yet to be retrieved.
