Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): Hukato H Assumi won the Open Summer Angling competition, with a catch of 3.600 kg and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 1.20 lakh.
According to a DIPR report, the competition was organised by Musu Angling Club in collaboration with Dimapur anglers at Musu, Hoito village on July 23.
The second position was bagged by Nito with a catch of 1.800 Kg, winning Rs 60,000 while Y Amarjit from Manipur bagged the 3rd prize with a catch of 1.360 kg, and took home a cash prize of Rs 30,000. Joseph received a cash amount of Rs 15, 000 for securing the 4th position, it said. 5th to 10th position holders were awarded Rs 5,000 each while position 11th to 20 received Rs 2,000 each. Altogether 240 anglers from Manipur, Assam, Karbi Anglong, Wokha, Kohima and Dimapur came to be a part of the competition, the report stated.
