
PFUTSERO, JULY 31 (MExN): The Pfutsero Government College held its 38thFreshers Day under the theme ‘Unfurling Possibilities’ on July 29 with Dr Neisatuo Mero as the guest speaker.
Dr Mero in his speech encouraged the students to help as well as share their wisdom and knowledge with one another.
mphasizing on the theme, he challenged the students to “make possibilities possible by making God one’s hero and putting Him first in everything.” He encouraged the students to be rooted to one’s village, learning the basic values of life and learning others’ languages as well. “A man who knows many languages can even stop war,” he stated.
Suvikhru Rume, President, ICEU chaired the program for the 1st session. Welcome note was delivered by Chekutsho Tsido, Vice President, PGCSU. Dr Bwenyhunle Khing, Principal, PGC gave the keynote address followed by greetings from All Nagaland College Students Union and Chakhesang Students Union. A special prayer for the freshers was invoked by Sesote-u Kapfo, Asst Prof and EU Advisor.
Ezhotou Keyho, Miss Phek 2021 &Phek SVEEP Icon, as special invitee, gave an exhortation in the second session. Mr & Miss Freshers 2019, Mutsihu Chuzo and Depe-u Vero crowned Grace Yanthan and Ekulo Wetsahas as Miss and Mr Freshers, PGC, 2022,the prize for which was sponsored by Vogue Entertainment, Nagaland.
Tewe-u Tsuzu and Wekhro Lasushe were the comperes for the second session. The programme ended with entertainment and special presentations by the students.
