
Dimapur, July 31 (MExN): The bid for Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for widening to two-lane from Mokokchung to Zunheboto of NH-702A in Nagaland has been invited, informed the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on July 28.
The construction work will be taken up after approval of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), stated the MoRTH Mnisiter, Nitin Jairam Gadkari in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
The Minster was replying to queries posed by Member of Parliament from Nagaland, Tokheho Yepthomi on the present status of NH 702A and likely time period for the construction and completion of the two-lanning of the highway.
As of now, the NH 702A is single lane road and out of 53 Kilometre from Mokokchung to Zunheboto, and 10.46 Km is completed and is under defect liability period, the Minister said.
For 10.54 Km, tender for repairing of surface layers is invited and remaining 32 Km is included in Annual renewal programme of this year, he added.
