Random COVID sampling in Dimapur underway

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): As informed by Chief Medical Officer of Dimapur on Friday, random sampling for COVID-19 testing is being conducted in various localities around Dimapur starting from May 17 to 21 at 10:00 am.

 

An order issued by the Dimapur CMO informed that sampling would be carried out by two teams for Dimapur town area and Chümoukedima area. According to the order, on May 17 samples were collected from the pre-designated locations including Marwaripatti, Kalibari, New Market, Chekiye, Thilixu and Naharbari.

The next day, samples will be collected from Thahekhu, Kavijau, Lomithi, Signal Angami, Chümoukedima Ward, Seithekima and Sovima. 

On May 19, samples will be taken from Railway Colony, Police Colony, Bank Colony, Purana Bazaar, Padampukhuri and Toluvi. The following day samples will be collected from Lingrijan, PWD Colony, Bor-Lengri, Naga United, Diphupar and Unity Village. 

The last day, i.e. May 21, will see samples being collected from Nagarjan and Burma Camp. All contact tracing teams have been informed to coordinate with their concerned Chairmen/Village Councils of their respective areas and earmark the locations to be sampled.
