
Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): The RO Water Manufacturers and Suppliers Association has informed that it has resolved to enhance the wholesale delivery rate of 20 litre jar water to Rs 30 and Rs 50 for home delivery respectively.
“The above stated rates enhancement shall come into effect immediately, anyone found manipulating the rates shall be imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 or legal actions shall be initiated against the defaulters as per the laid down resolution of the association,” it informed in a press release.
The Association is a non profit organisation formed in 2016 and registered under the Government of Nagaland (Reg No-HOME/SRC-7402), with a sole aim to provide safe and certified drinking water to all its customers and general public, the release stated.
As per the release, the resolution was made during its general meeting on June 29.
Further noting that there are several plant owners still delivering water without officially registering with the association without proper and required documents; the Association informed the plant owners to contact the association office within 10 days. “Failing to adhere to this notification would invite the association officials to launch for a thorough checking in collaboration with the concerned department,” it cautioned.
It also advised the general public to insist on buying only the 20 litre water jars which has the Association’s hologram imprinted at the top of the jar cap which will be made available to all the whole sellers/retailer respectively. It also requested consumers to inform the office immediately (phone number: 9366718353/ 8787378141) if they come across jars being sold without the hologram.
