Vehicular movement resumes after the clearing of debris caused by rockslide at Nagaland ‘Welcome Gate’ near Patkai Bridge, Chümoukedima on September 7.

The rockslide, which blocked National Highway-29, near the Patkai Bridge at Chümoukedima today was cleared in the evening.
The police informed that the debris was cleared by 7:00 pm allowing vehicular movement.
Earlierin the everning, the Dimapur Police informed that the NH-29 was completely blocked due to rockslide at the Nagaland ‘Welcome Gate’ near Patkai Bridge, Chümoukedima affecting vehicular movement.
However, the district police later updated that vehicular traffic has been partially restored.
Heavy construction activities are going on near the area in connection with the ongoing four-laning of NH-29 from Dimapur to Kohima.
