Young students scientist participate in District Level Students’ Science Exhibition
Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): District Level Students’ Science Exhibition under the theme, “Science and technology for sustainable development” was held at different district of Nagaland on October 29.
The winner of the district level will be participating in the state level Science Exhibition at Kohima on November 7.
Kiphire: Organised by the District Education Office, Kiphire, the exhibition was held at EBRC Hall, Kiphire on October 29.
District Education officer, Kiphire Deenabandhu Panda in his short speech thanked the teachers from different schools for putting up their tireless efforts and also in helping out the students in their presentation and appealed to them to continuously work in shaping the career of the students.
The science exhibition was categorized into two criteria, Single and double presentation. Altogether 19 students participated in the Science Exhibition. In single presentation first position was bagged by Tinutemsula from Loyola Hr. Sec School and 2nd by Manish Kumar from Trinity High School. In Double presentation 1st position was bagged by Cia Bose and Chumtila A. Sangtam from Saramati View Modern School while 2nd position went to Chichem and Akhumse from Loyola Hr Sec School respectively. The panel of the judges was SR Singh and Binash Joseph G/T.
The programme was chaired by Ridila G/T Yangphi School and welcome address was delivered by Lichumse Sangtam, Asst District coordinator.
Mon: In Mon, the exhibition was held at the council hall Mon on October 29 with special guest, ADC Mon Hiazu Meru. Encouraging the young students scientist, Hiazu Meru said such kinds of science exhibition it will motivate the students to understand and experience the scientific values. He appreciated to the teachers and students for coming with the new model and presentations.
In the individual category, Thanglong of St. John’s Hr Sec School, Mon emerged as the winner, Priyance Shandilya of Christ King School, Mon and Yingmei M Konyak of St. Mary’s High School, Mon got second and third prize respectively.
In group Category, Nginpong A Konyak & Ponpha of St. John’s Hr. Sec School Mon got first prize. Mehu & Jahwang of GHSS Mon Town- D got second prize. Yeilih Konyak & Angtok Konyak of Edith Douglas School, Mon and Alih P Konyak & Keyeang Kheang of St. Joseph’s School Mon got Third prize respectively. Altogether, nine schools competed in the exhibition. Certificates were also given to all the participants.
T. Watlong Yanlem, GT GHSS Mon, Bendangrenla GT GHSS Mon-D and Dipayan Marak, PGT St.John’s Hr.Sec. School, Mon were the judges during the exhibition. Earlier, SIS Wakching, Minching chaired the programme and Sr. SDEO Mon, Lhingneikim Singsit gave the keynote address.
Mokokchung: The exhibition was held at EBRC Hall, Mokokchung village. Three Schools, namely, Queen Mary Higher Secondary School (QMHSS), Senayangba Higher Secondary School (SHSS) and Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School (MGHSS) participated in the Science Exhibition programme.
District Education Officer, Mokokchung, Sademmongla delivered the welcome address, special song was presented by GHS Mokokchung Village, vote of thanks was proposed by Imkongwapang, ADC, DMA, Samagra Shiksha, Mokokchung.
The programme was chaired by Project Assistant, DMA, Samagra Shiksha, Mokokchung, Temjensangla. The competition was held in both Individual and Group categories.
