Zunheboto, August 30 (MExN): One-day skill development programme on food processing took place at Circuit House Zunheboto on August 29. The initiative was jointly organized by the district administration, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), reflecting a collaborative effort to uplift the women of the community, stated a DIPR report.

Led by resource persons and trainers from ISHELU VLO SHG, Naghuto New village, the program drew the participation of numerous enthusiastic women. The agenda for the day was centered around imparting knowledge on food processing techniques. The trainers shared insights on crafting bamboo shoot pickles, teaching the attendees how to properly preserve them, and equipping them with the skills to potentially market and sell their products for sustainable income generation.

The commendable efforts of Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, have been instrumental in orchestrating various training programs under the ambit of Zunheboto district. These endeavors aim to empower women, enabling them to carve a niche for themselves in society by harnessing the diverse avenues and opportunities available. The DHEW Zunheboto stands as a focal point for fostering economic independence among women through skill development.
