Dimapur, March 28 (MExN): The Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SKK) today wrote to the Chief Secretary of Nagaland seeking cooperation and support for the mission ‘Doing Right’, which SKK will be launching in all the Sumi inhabited areas.
SKK President Ninoto Awomi and General Secretary Vikai Yeptho in a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary said that identification of all round disorder, corrupted practices and irregularities will be the operative of the mission.
Contemplated objective of the mission is to remind the government employees/agents, the importance of discharging respective duties and responsibilities with sincerity and dedication as desired by the government for the welfare of the public. In this connection, it may be disclosed that dedicated effort of the students’ community shall yield no productive outcome unless the mission is reciprocated by stringent follow up action.
In order to fulfill the objective that the mission seeks to accomplish, the SKK request the Chief Secretary to pursue the following:
• District administration Zunheboto may be intimated to maintain attendance record of the District HODs in the District Planning & Development Board meeting. Accordingly, absentees without legally valid reasons are strictly dealt according to the relevant rules.
• District HODs habitually deploying sub-ordinate officers to represent the Departments in the District Planning & Development Board meeting may be brought under control.
• Head of different administrative units such as EACs/SDO(c)s/ADCs may be made directly answerable to government for the irregularities of various Department In charge within respective jurisdiction.
• Any government employees within Sumi inhabited areas irrespective of rank found indulging in corrupted practices, identified by the SKK with sufficient proof may be penalized strictly in accordance with the relevant Rules without leniency.
• Genuine grievances of the government employees deserving due cares, identified in course of the mission may be viewed with seriousness.
The SKK, while assuring its fullest co-operation within its level to ensure that established Rules of the government are enforced without fair or favor within all the Sumi inhabited areas, it is prayed that the stated points may be perused and prompt necessary action to that effect be taken.
